Original Castlevania Sprite Drawings

Original Castlevania (1986) animation frames and memory layout – 16 in total for the player character.

Frames made of smaller tiles were laid out such that they could be arranged into a larger memory sheet (note the double-digit sprite numbers reused in multiple different frames).

The game initially planned for diagonally up and down whip slashes but these were cut, and Simon Belmont was originally named Peter Dante!

These documents and more from the initial series of games via the Castlevania Anniversary Collection available here.
